Unexplained eclipse falls on the Detroit city, toward the sunrise, only a few people are survivors among the piles of clothes, abandoned cars and elongated shadows. Luc, a reporter for television, finds the streets around his house eerily empty. Paul, the projectionist, is suddenly all alone in a crowded movie theater recently. Physiotherapist Rosemary emerges from the smoke, but returned to an empty hospital, James, frightened boy waits patiently for his mother to return. Each of them finds its way to a seedy bar, where the presence of a gasoline generator, supplies of food and drink make the last refuge in the deserted town.
